CEVEC Pharmaceuticals GmbH has recently completed a new financing round adding the highly-reputed investors Creathor Venture, D-Bad Homburg, NRW.Bank and the development bank of the state of North-Rhine Westphalia to its investor panel. The previous institutional investors Sparkasse KölnBonn and KfW, as well as the major private investors and CEVEC’s management took part in the new capital round.
CEVEC’s staff enjoys a participation in the overall company success via an own investment vehicle (Mitarbeiter GbR) eligible for all employees thus striving to maximize motivation.
Creathor Venture invests in technology-oriented companies and entrepreneurs in the areas of life science, IT, telecommunication, new media, new materials, electronics, nanotechnology and clean technologies. Creathor Venture’s management team includes Dr. Gert Köhler, the founder of the former Technologieholding VC GmbH, as well as Ingo Franz and Karlheinz Schmelig. The team has been working in early-stage venture capital for 20 years. During that time more than 200 technology companies have been financed and over 20 IPOs as well as numerous trade sales have been conducted. Successful portfolio companies in the field of life sciences are Accovion, SiRION Biotech, Caprotec Bioanalytics, PhenexPharmaceuticals and CEVEC Pharmaceuticals.
NRW.BANK is the development bank of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia. Its four business segments are promotion of business start-ups and SME’s, municipal and infrastructure financing, social housing promotion and individual promotion. KfW Mittelstandsbank offers solutions for business start-ups and small and medium-sized enterprises, thus promoting commercial investments over the entire life cycle of an enterprise. All financing products are structured according to the three pillars of loan, mezzanine and equity capital.
GAT Holding (Switzerland) and other private investors are complementing the investor panel of CEVEC Pharmaceuticals GmbH.
