CEVEC's Scientific Board Members
Prof. Dr. Florian Wurm, Chairman of CEVEC's Scientific Board, is Full Professor for Biotechnology at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL) in Lausanne and founder, CSO and interim CEO of ExcellGene SA in Monthey, Switzerland. ExcellGene is an internationally recognized company focusing on recombinant protein production and process development for mammalian cells. As an innovative leader in all fields of recombinant protein production from mammalian cells in bioreactors, Florian Wurm has published more than 200 highly cited papers. He has almost 30 years of experience in the manufacture of recombinant proteins. He reviews scientific articles for recognized journals, such as Nucleic Acids Research, Nature Biotechnology and others.

Prof. Dr. Thomas Noll is Professor for Cell Culture Technology at the University of Bielefeld. He has many years of experience in Industrial Biotechnology and Mammalian Cell Culture Technology. His current work integrates functional genomic analyses, bioinformatics, cell biology, biochemical engineering and bioprocess development. Thomas Noll recently also founded Teutocell, a company focusing on specific media and feeding solutions for different cell lines for production of biopharmaceuticals.

Prof. Dr. Stefan Kochanek is Professor at the University of Ulm and Director of the Department of Gene Therapy. He is one the founders of CEVEC and member of CEVEC's scientific board since the very beginning of the company. Stefan Kochanek is an internationally renowned expert in development of new therapeutic procedures for disease using viral and non-viral gene transfer technologies.
